Book Of The Dead | Tomografija

This is my grandads telephone directory released in 1977 (the year i was born). I scanned all the book page by page and after merged all the layers into one in PS until all digits and letters are unreadable. Until all is gone. Like the most of the people in a book. Like all shops, organisations, factories and etc. You name it. Like a landline itself. The whole period of time under the regime is gone.
The book once full of friends, relatives, needful people or just strangers once you bumped into ( i came from a small town where literally everyone knows each other) turned into the Book Of The Dead. I remember my grandad using a lot that phone directory while sitting next to the phone with his specs on looking for particular number (for business reasons or just to have a quick chit-chat with someone who he met some time ago). Book is full with hand written phone numbers, addresses, birthday dates or just scribbles. And some actual numbers crossed out of the book when someone dies. That's what turn me to the idea of merging all the numbers and letters into one black unreadable line. And thats where the name comes from - Book Of The Dead.
